Terms of sale

Purpose

These terms govern the short-term rental of the Petit Marceau studio (Avenue Marceau, Paris 8th), booked on this website with Petit Marceau. Registration number: 7510807450653. The guest accepts them before any payment.

Booking request

The guest chooses dates and the number of guests and writes to the host. The total price (nights, cleaning fee and tourist tax) is shown before the request is sent.

When it is sent, the guest’s card is authorized for the total (a hold): nothing is charged. The host has 24 hours to accept or decline. Without an answer the request expires and the hold is released.

Payment

When the host accepts, the total is charged and the booking is confirmed. If the request is declined, expires or is withdrawn, the hold is released and nothing is charged.

Damage

The card saved with the booking may only be charged for documented damage, under the damage policy, accepted separately when the request is made, and within its limit.

Changes

The guest may propose new dates or another number of guests until the day before arrival; during the stay, they may only propose adding nights. The host accepts or declines the change; any price difference is charged to or refunded on the guest’s card.

Cancellation

Free cancellation until 7 days before arrival: the amount paid is refunded in full. Less than 7 days before arrival, the booking is non-refundable.

For a request sent less than 7 days before arrival, the booking is therefore non-refundable as soon as the host accepts it. Until it is accepted, the request can be withdrawn at no cost: nothing is charged and the hold on the card is released.

If the host cancels a confirmed booking before arrival, the guest is refunded in full for all amounts paid, whatever the date of the cancellation, without prejudice to any other rights provided by law.

Once the stay has started, the guest may end it early and cancel the booking, without a refund.

Under article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation provided on a specific date.

The stay and house rules

Check-in between 4 pm and 8 pm, checkout before 11 am. Times shown are the property’s local time. The apartment sleeps 2 people at most. It is rented for temporary living only.

The guest agrees to follow the house rules:

• No smoking inside
• No parties or events
• No one other than the guests on the booking
• Keep the building quiet, especially from 10 pm to 8 am
• Nothing goes in the toilet, not even toilet paper, which goes in the bin provided
• Use the apartment and its equipment with care
• Leave by checkout time and return the keys

If the rules are not followed, the host may claim the resulting costs under the damage policy (extra cleaning, repairs, a plumber call-out, replacing keys, an extra night for a late checkout, a fine from the building), up to the cost found and documented. In case of a serious breach (a party, undeclared guests, disturbing the neighbours), the host may also end the stay, without a refund.

Under the damage policy, such costs are claimed and charged only as that policy sets out, within its limit.
